| So friday was bad, but it looked up from there. On Saturday i did nothing all day except sit around and watch The Lake House, but then randomly decided to go to the Cowtown Rodeo with Cait & Greg. I'd never been before, and I had never seen so many cowboy hats and hicks. It was crazy. I didn't know that many people would ever CHOOSE to flock to Woodstown on a Saturday night. It ended up downpouring after about an hour, so we left and went back to Cait's for some good ol' strawberry rhubarb crisp and Mario Party. On Sunday i went with Mrs. Duffield, Emily, George, Jim, Nick, Mitch, and Chiara as a big caravan up to North Jersey to play in a parade in South Amboy. It's a two-hour drive which was actually really fun, thanks to the company. The parade was really short, it was probably only like a mile long, and then on the way home we ate at this really cute American Bandstand-esque restaurant. After the parade, I went back home and showered and such, and then the Duffields picked me up again later to go to this random Bob Dylan party in town. A few houses in Candlelight Village were having this block-party-ish thing, equipped with 2 Bob Dylan cover bands. Em and I had a lot of fun, especially when Sam Halter showed up, so that was exciting. At around 10pm it started to rain and lightening (oh, my luck) so we all left and went back to the Duffield's house. We all sat out on Em's porch and watched the lightening, and then we came in and played some sweet Scattergories and watched Matilda Em & I fell asleep on the same couch, with each others feet in our faces. Interesting to say the least. We woke up on Monday at 7:30 to leave for the Woodbury Memorial Day Parade by 8. Longest parade of my life, oh my gosh. It was horrible. One guy have a speech for like 25 minutes while we stood in there. DAHH! It took us 3 hours to get to the end of the route, but luckily I liked the 4 songs we played, so that was okay. When we were finally done, we sat in the American Legion hall and drank sodas with Whitey for a while, and then I headed back to Em's house. Her friend Carly came over to spend the day with her while me & the rest of the Duffields headed over to Chiara's house for a Memorial Day Party. THAT was a fun time, I saw many relatives that i havent in a while and they're all so cute and fun. Hope told me that her friend in school will be going to Grove City next year/will be in the band, so I'm pretty sure we're going to be friends, YAY! I got a lot of mosquito bites at Chi's though, kind of inconvenient. I went paddleboating with Mac and ate really really good food. Can't complain overall. When I got back home, Tim texted me and said they needed another person for tennis, so I went with him, Meghan, & Foster and played. Which, of course is hilarious in itself because I DONT PLAY TENNIS. They were lenient on me and didn't make fun of me too much. Today was my first day of working at The Bank. I went to Woodbury for a short orientation, ate lunch at home, and then headed to Mannington. Everyone seems nice, but i have a LOT to learn. I'm really not sure if I'm going to like it or not, but I guess I just have to suck it up. Oh well. Now I'm just feeling exhausted from the weekend and it's all catching up to me. Yeahhhh headache! |
